Now a days there are a visible progress in calves fattening of Saudi Arabia and many of
high advanced farms started to produce cattle meat in the market.
So that National Feed Company (FEEDCO) designed and produce
a number of feed products to be used in calves fattening for
improve the productive performance and increase the profit margin
for the producer and consequently encourage them to increase their
investment in that field. Our formula is designed to provide the
claves by their nutrient requirements according to age and
environmental condition for increase the productivity.
General tips in Calves fattening:
- Plenty of water must be supplied to the animals allover the period
- Fed the recommended quantity of concentrate in two or three times daily
- Concentrate must be introduce gradually to the ration to avoid any health problems
- During the transitional period of fattening (first 2 weeks after calves buying) must be follow the following guide:
- First day fed the calf on roughage only
- During 2nd day fed them on the roughage plus 500 g of feedo starter concentrate (19% CP).
- 3rd day to 7th day fed them on 750 g of concentrate feed
- During the 2nd week can be increase the quantity to 1.5 Kg daily
